n the middle of April, the first Tonisity Trade Representative Meeting was held in a wonderful Lombard Province, Bergamo. Companies from 28 countries from around the world were represented at the two-day meeting by over two hundred people. At the event, two colleagues of NeoCons Plus Kft. represented the company and Hungary.
Established in 2015, the Irish company wanted to enter the pig feed market through innovation and embodying real values. Its aim is to ensure animal welfare in a way that not only improves the health status of piglets, but can also guarantee financial returns for producers. Therefore Tonisity International Ltd. has released the Tonisity Px product after many years of preliminary research and the investment of lots of time and money. In our previous article (https://www.neoconsfeed.hu/tonisity-px-izotonias-feherjeital-malacok-es-kocak-reszere/), we have already mentioned the benefits of the innovative isotonic protein drink, which can be rightly called as a pioneer on today’s market of feed supplements. This is because it is an isotonic protein drink that directly supplies intestinal epithelial cells (enterocytes) with nutrients. As a result, longer intestinal villi develop, and more satisfactory nutrient and fluid absorption occurs in the intestinal tract.
The lectures and interactive programs covered the following topics:
- we could gain insight into the present, challenges, reasons for successes as well as potential future initiatives of Danish pig breeding;
- we got to know the structure and market position of pig farming in Italy, as well as the conditions of making the famous Parma ham from the perspective of pig feeding and processing as well;
- the lectures of the Tonisity Px team and research group pointed out the physiological effects of the product from the aspect of feeding and its practical applications;
- through the presentation of the latest European and American experiences, we talked about possible drug-cost-reducing effects and other options for returns (PVD, PRRS, antibiotic use, etc.)
During the two-day meeting, continuous team work and brainstorming helped us share our experiences and perform professional investment returns calculations. Worldwide Tonisity Px experiments have shown that its application is not only beneficial for small piglets, but it has a beneficial effect also for larger piglets regarding drug costs and weight gain. It is also important to mention that the use of Tonisity Px in sows promotes their milk production, improves milk quality, and reduces their energy deficiency at the time of selection.
